Matthew Delaney is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of GEM Wealth Management. Prior to establishing GEM, Matt began his career as a wealth advisor and senior financial services representative at several private investment firms.
Before entering the financial industry, Matt worked for his family’s business while earning his degree in entrepreneurship and finance from Babson College. While attending Babson, Matt was a 4-year starter and captain of the varsity baseball team. His leadership skills on the baseball field have transcended to his practice and he considers each client part of his team.
Matt prides himself in the level of service that he provides. Matt believes the first step in developing a financial strategy for a client is to clearly identify and understand the client’s goals and objectives while building a strong relationship based on mutual trust. Matt spends a significant amount of time with each client to accommodate their unique needs and circumstances. The goal of this time investment is to allow each client to maximize opportunities and pursue their financial future.
Matt currently resides in Billerica with his wife Johanna and their sons, Mason and Chase. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering for various charitable organizations and spending time with his family. He is still actively involved in athletics, and enjoys golfing throughout the beautiful scenery of New England every summer.
Matt earned the AIF® designation in 2019. Attainment of the AIF designation demonstrates understanding of the Prudent Practices® and methodology.
